SUMMARY:Natural Ability Evaluation
DESCRIPTION:For the first fun day event the club will host an informal evaluation of the dogs’ natural ability to hunt\, point and retrieve. Most dogs will be first timers\, so we plan to just get to know one another and have FUN with our Vizslas!\nOur evaluator for the day will be Mrs Renee Minny. She is a licensed Gundog Judge and also a Panel Judge for SAVHDA (South African Versatile Hunting Dogs Association). She will give feedback on the dogs’ performances and give advice on how to proceed with further training for field work\, should you be interested. The dogs will be evaluated INDIVIDUALLY so all dogs not being ‘worked’ must be kept on leash or in training crates. NO BITCHES IN HEAT will be allowed to attend.\nPlease bring your own chairs\, gazebo (optional) and a picnic basket. No toilet facilities available\, unless there are enough people attending to warrant renting a portable toilet.\nPLEASE RSVP BEFORE 26 JUNE 2017\, INCLUDING THE NAMES\, AGES AND SEX OF DOGS YOU WISH TO ENTER\, BY SENDING AN EMAIL TO admin@vizslaclub.co.za \nDirections to Retriever Dam: \n\nThese directions are from the Olifantsfontein offramp on the N1 in Midrand. So get to the Olifantsfontein offramp – from the North or South and follow the directions on the map below.\nDrive west on Olifantsfontein road from the N1 – the road’s name will change to Summit road. Cross two traffic lights (Lever Road and the R55) and drive until you see Rainbow Chicken farm on your right.\nTake the road immediately after the Rainbow Chicken farm – Pecan Grove Lane – a dirt road\, across from Paws Resort. Follow Pecan Grove Lane until you get to a fork – keep right and drive down until you get to the dam. We will be parking at the end of the road just before the dam.\n\n
